Quality Control services have as broad a range as one can imagine. Subtitle QC or Menu approval can be important aspects that take place before the disc has been authored.
We also complete many passes of video material, audio material, and language tracks to ensure that they are solid and are the best quality available. However, the primary QC services that most clients will use are general testing associated with emulations and compatibility.
Subtitle QC
Subtitle QC is typically completed before Emulation testing in order to save money on fixes. We will read the subtitles from beginning to end, noting any issues with sync, font, placement, spelling, grammar, punctuation, or content.
Emulation Testing
Emulation Testing is performed utilizing DVD-Rs. Testing can find issues with audio quality, video quality, subtitle streams or the user operations of the disc. Discovering any errors during this preliminary stage will allow the DVD producers to make appropriate changes before the costly process of replication.Compatibility Testing
Test discs are replicated and delivered for compatibility testing. Tests are run through a matrix of the most commonly used players to determine any compatibility issues that might arise between the disc and particular DVD players. The client can then make informed decisions and any needed adjustments before releasing the title.
